Abstract

The collected letters of Dámaso Alonso to José María de Cossío is part of the archive of the Casona de Tudanca Museum (Cantabria) and consists of a total of twenty-nine letters and cards written between 1925 and 1966. The letters, which feature appearances from other friends such as Jorge Guillén, Gerardo Diego and Miguel Artigas, provide evidence of the pair’s devotion to Góngora, their activity at the Real Academia Española, and their publication in collections such as Clásicos Castellanos and Austral, as well as various details about the personal and academic lives of Alonso, Cossío, and other related writers.
